First, a little background on why this popped into my head. So, my wife and grandmother were having a conversation about me, and my grandmother hinted that she thought that maybe me being Transgender was just a phase, because I went through another "phase" when I was a teenager. I went through a Goth Phase!
But when I look back on those days, I wonder if that should have been a "sign" to my friends and family that something else may have been going on. I think I may have gone through the Goth Phase, because I was able to publicly wear makeup! I loved eye liner a lot. There was no shame in my game! LOL
I wonder if being Goth was my subconscious brain trying to act-out my suppressed gender, by acting out in other ways. If interesting for me to think back, and it just makes me smile.
